1) Be stronger Christians than we were in 2002. Maybe we've never looked at ourselves in terms of strength (Ephesians 6:10). This is not an option. This is a command. We do not have the permission to be weak in Christ.
2) Be faithful in attendance. This is basic in living the Christian life. The Lord delights in our assembling and worshiping together. Attendance should never be looked upon as meeting a quota. It should be a time of joy and devotion.
3) Arrive early at the services and greet others. This is something that any of us can do. It does not take any special talent.
4) Give liberally and sacrificially back to God. We have a well rounded budget which emphasizes evangelism. It is up to us to see that we support our financial plan to the best that we are able. When we give, do we remember how much God has given to us?
5) Read and study the Bible (Psalms 119:105). We must spend more time with the Bible (2 Timothy 2:15). God's word keeps us from sin (Psalms 119:11).
6) Try and win at least one soul to Christ (Proverbs 11:30). We should give more attention to this valuable work. Every day we encounter should which are lost in their current state.
7) Encourage one another. We are all a part of God's house (2 Timothy 3:15; Ephesians 4:31,32; 1 Peter 3:8,9). Do we speak well of our Christian brethren? Do we make it a practice to motivate others? Just a little bit of encouragement can go a long way.
8) Never criticize and always do our share (Philippians 2:13-15). Invariably there are those who are negatively critical - those who seem to look for the worst in the situation and complain about it. Let's work to avoid adding to this bad persuasion.
9) Pray often (1 Thessalonians 5:17). The Christian should never forget o use his lifeline to God.
10) Glorify God in all we do. Glorifying God should be the motive for everything we do. A Christian is bought with a price. Is glorifying God the foremost part of our lives - whether at work or at school, or wherever we go?
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
2 Timothy 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 4:31,32
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.1 Peter 3:8,9
8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.Philippians 2:13-15
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
