Dear God, our Heavenly Father,

We are so thankful to You for life and strength. In You we live and move and have our being. We are grateful for our jobs and for our abilities to work and serve.

We thank You for the gifts of Jesus, Your Son, and for the Bible, Your Holy Word. Help each of us to be people of discernment and understanding.

We appreciate all the physical and spiritual blessings that come from Your hand.

We are grateful for our homes and families: for our mates, our children, and our grandchildren.

We give You our thanks for every blessing of living here in our Volunteer State.
We are so grateful for our great state of Tennessee & for our state government. Bless Governor Bredesen, Lieutenant Governor Wilder, each one of these state senators who serve, and all of those who serve the citizens of Tennessee. May each man and woman serve with moral integrity and conviction. Grant them Your wisdom, strength, and guidance to pass good and wise laws for our benefit.

We are also thankful to live in one nation under You. We are grateful to be born in this land of freedom and unlimited opportunity. Thank You for the liberty we enjoy in our republic. We are thankful for our veterans who have served to defend our freedom.
We pray for the men and women who serve now around the world to defend our freedom. We pray for their families and especially for those who have known recent loss.

Bless and guide President Bush and his administration as he continues to lead our great nation. Bless our United States senators, representatives, and justices. Bless those who govern at every level. May they also all serve with moral integrity and conviction. Grant them Your wisdom, strength, and guidance in Your will and purpose. May our great nation be preserved.

Protect and watch over us that we may live peaceable lives in godliness and honesty. Within Your love and providence, we pray for peace and freedom in this world as well. Use each of us as instruments to fulfill Your will.
