We love our Bible class teachers and students! On Sundays and Wednesdays, a number of our teachers teach both young and old in our Bible classes here. We also have special teaching times in V.B.S., Tuesday - Thursday school, camp, retreats, & home Bible studies. We appreciated the wonderful attitude of our fine teachers as they effectively instill God's truth to their students.
There are some ways we can make every class even better. Consider these ten activities to improve our Bible classes:
1. Pray for your teachers every day.
2. Attend every time your class meets.
3. Invite relatives and other friends to attend with you.
4. Seek out class visitors, make them feel welcome and invite them back.
5. Visit with someone who missed class this week and encourage them to come back.
6. Prepare your mind in advance for studying the Bible.
7. Participate in Bible class discussions.
8. Express your appreciation to your teachers for all their effort in preparation and presentation.
9. Be present a few minutes early so you can be settled in and have your Bible open before class begins.
10. Make spiritual growth through our Bible classes a priority of each week.Hardeman Nichols has said, "Remember the 3 R's in building Bible school
Attendance:RECRUIT new students.
REDUCE absenteeism.
RECLAIM dropouts.Building the Bible school is such a worthwhile endeavor. As Ira North at the Madison church used to say, "As the Bible school goes, so goes the congregation." And "...so grows the congregation."
Paul wrote to Timothy, "You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also" (2 Timothy 2:1-2, NKJV). The principle is clear: teaching passes the truth on from generation to generation. Our Bible school is a place where truth is passed on for a lifetime of learning. Pass it on! (And see you at VBS this week!)
